Mexican Cooking Class featuring Local Ingredients

What: Learn to cook Mexican using locally grown ingredients.

Where: Local Source Market, 5783 Charles Street, Halifax

When: Saturday February 5th, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm

Who: Jorge Morales and Lisa Bowe (Students of the Master’s of Applied Human Nutrition program at Mount St. Vincent)

Cost: $15-20 per person

This class is vegetarian friendly.


Appetizers (mushrooms “al ajillo” and mushrooms with epazote)

Salsas (salsa verde and salsa chimichurri)

Soup (Aztec soup “sopa Azteca”)

Main Course (entomatadas and enfrijoladas)

Dessert (arroz con leche)
